Budgeting for Your Wedding Reception
Our buttercream iced wedding cakes are comparable in price to serving cupcakes while dessert bars are higher in price. Wedding Cake Budgeting & Pricing
We price our cakes based on the size and design of the cake.  Assuming a full standard serving slice (a 1x1x4" tall cake slice), a buttercream iced cake with standard decoration and delivery would average $5.50 to $7 per person.  A buttercream cake serving 100 would be around $600 including standard delivery and setup in Monterey.

Cupcake Budgeting & Pricing
Generally, we recommend 3 cupcake flavors and 1.25 cupcakes per guest.  Total cost will be $550 to $650 range for 100 guest wedding. 

  • 6" Buttercream Cake for a cupcake tower - $60.00
  • 8" cake for a table set up - $95.00
  • 125 cupcakes divided evenly between 2 classic flavors and 1 specialty flavor - $406 (standard swirls/topping and no additional embellishments)
  • Delivery & set up - $100 to $150
  • Cupcake tower or settings (stands & platters for table setup) are not included

Dessert Table Budgeting & Pricing
We normally suggest 2 to 4 pieces per person and start with 1 flavor selection from each of the 4 dessert types we offer, so a "set of": cream puffs, tartlets, shooters & blondies/brownies.  For larger weddings, you would add 1 or 2 more flavors. 

The cost per "Set" (1 from each of the 4 dessert types above) is $9.  A typical dessert bar would include an 8" round cake with 3 dessert pieces per person.  Total cost for 100 guests would be in the range of $750 to $800: 

  • 8" buttercream cake with standard decoration -  $95.00
  • 240 dessert pieces (60 "sets") - $540 for desserts.  An 8" cake will serve around 20 guests, so you will need desserts to serve 80 guests.   
  • Delivery & set up - $100 to $150  
  • Settings, stands & platters are not included.  

Dessert Table Minimums
We have a $400 product minimum for full-service cupcake or dessert bar setups. Drop off deliveries are available for orders less than $400.
